Statement of Faith

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Old and New Testaments to point toward Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.

The Trinity is One God; eternally revealed to the world as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They co-exist in perfect unity, co-equal and co-eternal.

Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, was sent out of God's great love for humanity to redeem all people. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on this earth, performed many undeniable miracles, was crucified for our sins, buried, and was raised from the dead for our justification. By the name of Jesus Christ, and His name only, can people be saved. He sits at the Right Hand of the Father and will return personally in power and glory to receive His Church unto Himself.

The Holy Spirit is God's presence with us. He brings conviction of sin, revelation of the truth of the Gospel of Christ, draws the lost to God, adopts mankind into the Body of Christ through regeneration, and distributes and administrates the Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life.

Salvation / Regeneration encompasses much more than just eternal life. When we accept Jesus, we are given access to a better life here on Earth. This word also means healing and freedom from bondage. During regeneration, our sinful nature is removed and we receive a new nature through the Holy Spirit who comes to dwell within us. This transformation is so comprehensive that Paul refers to the regenerated person as a new creation.

Repentance is, in other words, a total turning away from evil deeds and an evil lifestyle (a lifestyle outside of God’s will) and a turning toward God, which is accompanied by a changed mindset and lifestyle. A changed heart and a changed mind will lead to a changed life with changed behavior.

Water Baptism follows the confession of faith in Jesus Christ. New believers are baptized in water in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The act of baptism is symbolic of identifying with the death and resurrection of Jesus. We leave behind our old life in the water and are raised out of the water, born again to a new life.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit: Believers who have already received the Holy Spirit must also be filled or baptized with the Holy Spirit. During the baptism or filling of the Holy Spirit, believers are empowered for the task at hand. The disciples had to wait to be filled/baptized with the Spirit before moving into the world as ministers of the Gospel. The Spirit empowered them with boldness to proclaim the Gospel. Furthermore, we see clearly that a disciple like Peter was able to present and interpret the Word after being baptized with the Spirit.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. The biblical lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, we receive power and ability to fulfill the purpose that God has placed on our lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of biblical parameters.

Sin is behavior that falls short of God’s will. The choice of Adam and Eve for disconnection from God brought spiritual death to humanity, resulting in all people inheriting a sinful nature. God provided laws to distinguish right from wrong, but humanity was unable to perfectly follow them due to their sinfulness. Recognizing this inability to overcome the gap created by sin, God sent Jesus to bridge it. It is only through Jesus' righteousness that we can be in God's presence, as God desires for all to be restored to a relationship with Him.

Church Leadership, including Elders, Deacons, Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Evangelists, and Pastors, are appointed by Jesus to guide and equip those within their influence to fulfill their ministry and serve the congregation with their gifts and ministries.

The Spiritual Realm is real, and believers overcome the enemy through God's power. Authority is given to believers in Jesus Christ to overcome the works of darkness with the Kingdom or authority of Christ.

Eternal life in Heaven is the ultimate destination for believers, where God's perfect will is revealed in His presence for eternity. Those who do not accept salvation through Jesus Christ will be judged by God based on their deeds and separated from His presence.

The Identity of the Believer transforms from being identified as a "sinner" to a "saint." Through Jesus Christ, we receive a new nature and are no longer slaves to sin, being freed from its laws and death. While this doesn't mean immediate perfection, it signifies that no behavior or stronghold in our lives can withstand Jesus' authority, and the devil has no authority to remain in our lives.

Communion is a time for believers to share in the communion elements (typically juice and bread) together. These elements represent Jesus' Body and Blood and are taken in remembrance of His sacrifice on the Cross, which established a new covenant for us.

Who can lead? are considered equal, together reflecting God's glory and complete image. Both genders are permitted by the Word to hold any position or function in any church role or spiritual office.
